Greetings from America

Greetings from America

Dear Family,

I write in English for to practice.  I am in Los Angeles now five weeks.  Here, I am always parched of the body, but in my mind, many things grow.  My teachers are sweetheart, they smile always.   So many things to do here, Observatory, museum, beaches. But my best thing to do is look at window scenes.

My host family is kind to me.  I do not eat so well.  On everything they put the cheese!  My roommate is nice but he snores all the night.  So, in the night I walk in the neighborhood, in secret from my host mother.  Americans, so much they worry!

In the morning on the way to language school, it takes so long to get to school, so many cars line up in the road by miles and miles, but between the late night and the early morning, the sky is low, almost to touch it.  I like to watch cars go so far.  I never could know roads stretched so long. Only the trees are tall here, and it makes the sky so big.  In the night, when no one walks, the streets appear as runways to the infinite.

More pictures I will send you very soon.

My affections,

Your dearest me
